always use a metronome ..starting with a speed you can play at with no hesitations or mistakes
gradually increase the tempo at say 5bpm intervals never go to the next bpm until
you can play at the one you're at ( with no hesitations or mistakes )
if you dont use a metronome you wont know if you're improving or not
but dont forget...never run until you can walk

Hi, Just had my lesson and have started learning 12 bar blues with an off beat sound. very excited about it as it sounds like "real" music.

Hi. Being practicing a shuffle and was having problems with my pick catching G string. I was only playing on A and D strings, solved problem by using thinner pick which bent to A D strings and missed hitting G string. Shuffle is sounding good now.
