Topic: Newbie looking for help

Evening all

let me tell you all a little about myself. I've been learning the guitar for about a year and obviously have a very long way to go but i love it. i have a G series takamine electro acoustic and a washburn hb 30 which at my stage of playing are great. i've had a go at at several different types of music from peter,Paul and mary folk music on the acoustic to blues and rockabilly on the washburn. talk about a contrast but as they say varieties the spice of life. for my first amp i have a Roland micro cube which is ok but i would like to learn to play rockabilly/rock and roll so was wondering which amp i should go for for  this type of music. learning wise, i have had lessons and i previously played the banjo for 18 months. i am also working through the fast fingers course that i have just bought. Any help would be grately appreciated.

many thanks
Brewster

Welcome to the forum.

At this stage I would advise that you don't look at changing your amp. You will probably find that you should be able to dial something that is usable with your current setup. If you enjoy it enough you may look at getting something more suited to the style later down the line!

All the best and hope to hear your music soon!

Thanks guys

Maybe your right Olly, perhaps i should keep with what i've got for a while. i have been offered a fender front man. Whether this is better than the roland cube i don;t know.

Thank Brewster
