if you plug your git ( thats turned full up ) into your amp thats adjusted for normal volume
how much hiss is there? ( no pedals )
Q : out of interest how long have you been playing ?
you might like to try plugging your git into a mates amp to see if its working

you can then use the vol on your git to back it off a bit<br/>
IE.the higher you turn up your amp/fx the greater the hiss and noise<br/>

this would be a great tool for explaining the caged system to beginners
perhaps there could be a way of highlighting the 5 main voicing for each chord?
it could well explain/demonstate the difference between say D. . .D/A . . .D/F# ....etc
