I thought this was normal. Certainly my SSS Strat and HSS Aria suffer a volume drop in positions 2 & 4.

Yes, I see one of the items is boiled linseed.....which I've heard mixed tales of.

Lard, being a food product, at some point, will become rancid. Although until it does, it'll make your fingers smell like fish and chips. :D

I didn't really see a huge difference between MIM & US Strats in terms of build quality. Mine doesn't have original pickups in (Tone Rider Pure Vintage) and it sounds better than the MIM Standards IMO. The only thing I will change at some point is the trem block as the threads ...
