sustain issues

i just got myself a schecter c-1 hellraiser and noticed the 12th fret of the G has problem sustaining notes for more than a few seconds without dying it is also a bit sharp, the other notes on the string are correct pitch and sustain for about 10 secs before even showing signs of feedback. does anyone know whats wrong with it and can this be solved easily.

What about the notes above 12th fret? Do they sustain ok?

yeah they all sustain nice and are correct pitch, is it possibly an intonation issue which can sorted by a luthier

This is true although I am wndering if possibly a neck alignement issue - either way a luthier will be able to advise or sort it for you.
