"At 5.0 pm on Saturday September 7th 2,000 guitarists will gather on Lyme Regis front beach to attempt a new UK record for the largest number of guitarists to play a song simultaneously – and we want you to join the band.
The song we will all be playing and singing is Buddy Holly’s classic Rave On.
All sorts of guitarists are joining what we’re calling Britain’s Biggest Band [because it will be] – professional players, sessionmen, shy but handy amateurs, first-timers, children, families, pensioners, local traders, Lyme councillors, whole bands, journalists and, we intend, some stars too.
