Lexicon Omega or something else??

Post by Madstar »

Hi

Hope someone is able to help!

I'm looking for software to put down and analyze tracks. I have used some free ones in the past but cant recall their names. I wouldn't mind parting with some money for these too.

I still have the now discontinued lexicon omega - is there any way I can get the software for this? I'm sure I have the installation cd somewhere, but my laptop doesn't have a CD drive.

Hello

I'm bringing the song to a recording studio, but because of the covid situation, we need to work a bit differently. I have a demo of the song, sent this and they have got back to me with drums and bass. My demo bpm varies from slow at the start and quickens up at the end. They have averaged the bpm and I cant give the go ahead until I'm content my vocals and guitar will fit.

I thought maybe I could analyze this with some software, I don't currently have anything decent.

I've set with a metronome and tried to figure it out as well.

I'm not used with working this way.

most daws have a tempo track so tempo changes can be mapped out
a simpler solution would be to redo your guitar and vocals to the new drum/bass track
then submit it back to the studio..editing and arranging is straight forward if the contents
of the tracks are to a strict tempo ( or controlled variations )
all modern popular music is done in high end daws so when you do your next song
use a sequencer ( daw) and pick and select a tempo for the track..
if you want the song to speed up slow down or fluctuate you can program tempo changes if need be

always do your vocals and gits etc AFTER you have selected a tempo
and recorded a basic click or drum track

if you are passing takes to a studio keep them reverb free and as clean as possible

there are load of free daws to be downloaded..do a bit of googling
