I've been playing around with some stuff in drop D - mainly because a couple of Rammstein tracks use that.
Another used drop C - but I decided that was a lot of hassle as I needed to retune every string so had a play and left that one...
Although if I found more in drop C, i'd probably leave one guitar in that (i normally have the ESP in drop D and the schecter in open, but as the schecter doesn't have a floyd rose changing from open to drop D is no biggie
)

I usually use Drop D tuning while performing live,
for songs that use bar chords..
