Advice sought re Taylor GSMini

I found the strings or height thereof to make pressing down harder than I want. To rectify, I swapped the factory gauge with a lighter gauge. They sound “melodious” but are a little too light for me. Can the action be lowered after re-I seating the factory gauge strings, and possibly the bridge as well, in a set up?
