Thanks!

So what kind of music are you into and how long have you been playing?

Is your engraving service your full time job?

I'm into folk, blues, rock, acoustic. Generally play folky acoustic type stuff from a few "ultimate acoustic bibley" type books. Just love plugging in and noodling around with the blues scale heh. I also play the banjolele! :D

No i's just a sideline, but a fun one. I've sent out some gorgeous plates to people. If you type in custom neck plate in ebay you'll see my actual plate on my strat :o)

Are you UK based?

Can you post a link to your ebay so I can see what you do?

Yep I'm based in England. We dont post many designs on ebay as they tend to be customers own designs but here's a couple to look at...

My personal plate....

A plate commissioned by a friend....

Like I said you can have anything on there! I love em :D

Thanks for the links - looks pretty smart!

Do you get quite a lot of business doing this? And, if you don't mind me asking, is it primarily from eBay?

We get quite a bit of business yes, and no ebay is just a small slice really.

A lot of business has been generated word of mouth i.e. i'll get an email "hi, my friend had a neck plate done....i'd like one with so and so on...etc" I think this is mainly because how much better they look in real life. The effect is almost holographic as the light changes on them!

We also offer a serialisation set up for luthiers. I'll see if I can post a couple of pictures on here of some more :o)

Here's one I have knocking around that was just a test peice. It was for a friend who is welsh (hence dragone) religious (cross) and bought a tribal painted guitar. His initials are in the middle.

They're a bit of a pain to photograph. lol

Cheers guys,

the actual engraving takes about 10 mins. The design/image processing process can be from a few minutes to quite a few minutes heh! All good fun though, especially when you see them bolted on! :D
