how often do you buy guitars

Post by i-watermelon john »

I had to think about that one.

I bought my first guitar 18 years ago (but I never owned a guitar, just borrowed one) and I bought my acoustic 2 years ago

I have quite a fee guitars and my collection is not yet complete. Ultimately each purchase is an improvement so I really play one electric and one acoustic (and a really cheap bass for recording)

I would like a 12 string and a classical guitar which I would use for different purposes.

I currently primarily play my ibanez but I have always wanted a les Paul which would be my last expensive guitar purchase. May be some time away yet before I can afford that!

Is ibanez preferred in Japan too, its hometown Olly? Or is it more popular only in Europe?

I have no idea but I know it is popular here in the UK. I got into the brand following the likes of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani

here in japan, there are so many different guitars to choose from, guitars are still made in japan and they are not cheap to buy either (rich spoiled young kids here who have never worked a day in their life) keep them in business
Ibanez is a choice guitar for mainly a certain type of player, where I live they don't stock them, and when I go to a big city they are stocked quiet well (rich city kids again)
Actually I don't see many people play them in videos, of course there probably many but the videos I see are mostly LP and Strats and Greco guitars :)
