Bottom E string 'Buzzin?'

Post by fishfingers »

Hi guys, ive noticed when im playing that sometimes my top E string buzzes and sounds aweful. All the other strings sound fine so i don think that its me not pressing in hard enough. Any advice?

Cheers guys and girls, Happy Jamin :)
If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them...

Does it do it when you play that string on it's own? It could be that your action needs adjusting slightly or even the truss rod

My Fender Squire had a buzzin top E string when I bought it. Kinked string right on a fret marker would you believe. Shop replaced string, adjusted truss and gave me a set of strings FOC for my trouble!!

Shop worth a mention for that i think (in a Yoda type voice)!!

Nice to see a shop giving decent service... sad to say it appears to be a bit of a rare thing nowadays....
