Take Care Guys

Post by Instructor »

Olly,

You run a nice site, but I'm going to be moving on. Nothing against you, I think we got on.

I wish you the best. I liked this place and would come here several times a day.

Signing off.

Hi Sean

I am sorry that you feel this way as well.

There is no doubting your theory knowledge and you clearly have a passion for music. It is a great shame that someone with such knowledge is choosing to leave.

I am sure that it is not your intention, but I can certainly see why some people would take objection to the manner in which you have written some of your posts. It can come across as though you do see yourself as better than anyone else and as Polyal recently suggested, a little more tact could be used at points. But that aside there is nothing wrong with being confident about your knowledge.

What I would really like is if you could stick around and perhaps reword things a little different and I am sure that we could all get along just fine. If you choose not to then I genuinely wish you the best of luck for the future and feel free to pop back if ever you decide.

Olly

I am new to this forum but all i can say is that instructor clearly is a very good musician.

When i first started playing guitar my teacher told me that every good guitar player can figure out if someone knows how to play guitar by the way he holds it. I didn't understood that until later after i progressed a lot.

Another guitar teacher told me that i am his best student, i told him that i don't consider myself that good, what made him tell me that ? He answered that he judged that by the questions i asked him .

So is with life, and speaking or posting(if on a forum), the way a person speaks tells a lot about the person he is.

I'm sorry that you will be leaving instructor, i wish i had joined the forum earlier on because i had lots of questions to ask you....

I wish you the best in everything you do,

Paul

i mean that when you have some experience a guitar playing you can figure out if somebody else knows how to play his instrument, by the way he holds it.

Sorry to hear you go there instructor! Most everyone has disagreements. You and I disagree a little there on the modes thing but I have no less respect for you. Instead of moving on maybe you should just take a break for a few and come back. You have alot of valuable info to pass along.

Yes hopefully this is in the past. Instructor seems to be sticking around which is good news so I will close this thread before it causes any further confusion!
