this is a revolutionary tool...
i guess almost every guitarist knows about it but i will still like to mention it for those who dont know about it
in this tool u can see and hear what actually is been played on the fretboard
so u get the tabs, witth everythin how the bends/slides and everythin possible, a must for every one to have the latest version is GP5
let me knw wht u guys think....

I've never used Guitar Pro before. I've always wondered what it was like and if people liked it. I have always just used Power Tab because it's free! It isn't the greatest however.

I should think about giving Guitar Pro a try.

What is guitar pro exactly?

It's a piece of software that basically plays midi files whilst at the same time showing you the tab.

it's a great way of learning tabs as you hear the timing which is essential to learning music in general.

There used to be a great archive of guitar pro tabs but I think it was shut down.

I have the full backup though so if anyone wants a specific guitar pro tab then let me know and I will probably have it. This is really for songs older than a year though.

If you don't want to buy a copy of guitar pro, there is some freeware called Tux Guitar that can read guitar pro files, it isn't as powerful as the real guitar pro, but worth a look.

No worries - its more basic but at least give you access to all the guitarpro files :-)
