There are various websites which helps you to tune your guitar but I think they are not that effective. You should use a guitar tuner or any good software for that.

Hello
Actually they are quite effective. Sometime when you don't have a tuner then you can get correct tunes from these sites but generally people don't use it.

I've never even thought of looking for a tuner online. I have perfect pitch so I don't usually even use a regular tuner but this is a great idea for someone who doesn't have anything else to go by. Sure, it doesn't tell you when your's is in tune but most people can get it tuned pretty good by hearing the note.

The first link has a metronome too! That's a brilliant idea in itself. Metronomes are one of the greatest things invented for music learning. A metronome is a must for every musician. I'm going to bookmark that page...

Actually there is a few decent tuners online that you can plug your guitar into the mic socket of your pc and it will tell you if your guitar is in tune - similar to an analogue tuner.

Not sure if the links above have this facility

there you have a standard guitar tuner. all you have to do is just click on the strings. and u're good to go.

tuning by ear/yourself comes only with practise. so no worries.

keep on pickin'
