I've recently started using some new licensed guitar tab sites such as www.cleartabs.com and justtheriffs.com and was wondering whether other guitarists are starting to go for the legal tab sites as opposed to the illegal, unofficial ones like 911tabs etc.....
Love to know other guitarists thoughts on legal tabs vs. illegal ones.
I used to just get them for free but the ones I get from the licensed sites are better laid out and easier to follow, not to mention more accurate.

I had bought a lot of books, and was then finding I was only playing one or two songs out of them. I don't object to paying for books or music, but prefer to see them first.
That's the advantage to me of some of the free site, is that you can look - albeit you need to wade through the rubbish sometimes, but the user reviews are a good indication.
Also you can sometimes find simplified versions of the songs.
I recently bought a play along book by Alfred publishing, and it was terrible....
On otherside, I've usually bought the CD in the first place, so have already ensured royalites to the band at least once!

Yes, I think legal tab sites are better compared to illegal ones. I also prefer legal sites for different guitar tabs,
Get the Guitar Tuners from WDmusic.
