Just great, uni going good, Gibson sounding good, Just need an amp, have held off getting one till I have more money think a good grand should get me something great.

Yes a grand would certainly get you something pretty amazing! Are you looking for only new or will you consider second hand?

All options are open.

I don't think I would buy a Marshall 800, 900 I don't like the sound.

However, I might consider a blues breaker.

But what do you think of this

Its a clone of a blues breaker, but I have found out that Jim Marshall ripped of a Watkins Dominator. Which is what the kit in the link above is.

Building your own amp seems a cool idea!

The amp does sound good I must admit but I don't like the housing at all!
