One problem I always have when trying to write a new song is, should I develop and create the lyrics or music first? I usually end up creating the song first, and add the lyrics later. What do you do when getting ready to write a new song?
Usually it's music (or harmony) first, but doing lyrics first will force you to do some new things to make them fit, so it is a good idea, and may help you to be more creative.
