Another 2 project Strats near completion

This is my latest project, i call it the Nordicaster, because it is blond. The body is from an old SX guitar, i stripped it down to bare wood, and repainted it a cream colour. The Scratchplate is made from maple and the knobs are also maple. The neck is maple, a blank i purchased off ebay. The Pickups are of a generic variety, but they will eventually be swapped out for Lindy Fralins when i have saved up some wonga. the tuners are Wilkinson Kluson Style. I am just waiting on 2 single pickup chrome rings, and then it will be string, ready to play.

This is just a knock up job. The body was from a Martin Stinger, as are the Pickups. the neck is one i picked up from ebay, but i have raised the top nut to accommodate the fact that i need a raised acction, as i will be using this guitar in open tuning for slide, and Keith Richards style play. Thus the name Keefocaster.
I bought a cream perloid scratchplate, and a neckplate with an etching of the man himself Keef.
The body had not been lacquered, but rubbed down with tusk oil to give it a silky sheen. I have however lacquered the neck and headstock. And finished off the headstock with "antique brass" tuners and roller stringtrees.

Im liking the colour combo of the Nordicaster guitar. You may have inspired me to do something similar!
