Hello all!
Just signed up so thought I'd say hi and introduce myself. Been playing guitar for nearly 40 years (God, that's depressing.) Owned some amazing guitars, in that time, including Fender, Gretsch, John Birch, Yamaha and Gibson.
Currently have a 1990 Gibson Les Paul standard and a 2001 Squier Fat strat, in (what I believe is fairly rare) Sherwood green. Only bought it recently off ebay for 60 quid, just to see what it was like. Apart from the neck tone control not working it's sound as a pound and has a fantastic neck on it! The Les Paul is just awesome in every way!
Looking forward to getting involved in the various forums. Cheers!
Hey, everybody!
hi lloyd...we've got one thing in common...the squier strat...mines japanese about 1990 modified with a
bridge humbucker..a fixed floyd ( blocked ..dont use the trem ) which is great for fine tuning...saves
messing with the machine heads when tweeking..its fitted with an earvana nut and onboard n-tune
fitted at the bridge tone position ...it's also is a great guitar to play.....the most comfortable git i've ever
used is the ovation breadwinner esp when sitting ( well thought out body contour )..i must admit
though i've always wanted ( and will get ) a les paul and/or a gibson ES225 ( wishful thinking)
