My Other Girls

My 2 other girls...I released to day I had no digital images of the two together....My first 600cc sports bike is the black one. Jade (the Black one) is 18 years old know I have maintained her but not really ridden her for years, I just didn't have the hart to sell her when I picked up the R1 (the blue one, Kathleen) 12 years ago.

There both Yamaha's the blue R1 is an evolution of the black one FZR, and I took Jade out today and she still pulls yer skin back on face after all this time which nearly brought a tear to my eye.....Ohh she still loves to wheel y to....

I know its the wrong forum for this but if it gets people posting......

my only motorbike was a tiger cub( triumph )
after falling off due to black ice on the A34 and seeing an articulated lorries' wheels go past
about 12" from my nose i vowed never to get on a motor bike again ....and i haven't
i'd be happier playing a git with a 12" action at the twelfth

anyway i need an acoustic with an everlasting ' new string sound ' so wots the best
strings to get

Phewwww Lucky you 12in is F****** close..........I could never be with out a bike, not after 18 years....Although a 12in episode with a lorry might change my mind......

That first video is harsh! But you do see bikers like that about - taking risks with both their lives and others! Glad to hear you aren't like that James!

Thanks, age is catching up up with both me and the Kath........We tend not be as harsh as we once where....But one of the highlights of my life was sticking her round Donnington on a track day...Only then did I realise how fast she was and just how quick it could all end...but maybe that's the thrill.....

I have just turned GREEN.........

Could never afford a Duke........But that V-twin noise is unmistakable...

Out of interest, how do you find the Traction Control......Nether of my Girls have it and I have heard varying reports about it..........

Don't be mate they cost a fortune to keep running as there both knocking on a bit....

Ohh and the black has taken to dumping me off....

But funny you should bring this old post back to life........

After Jade though me off last December......I decided as she was my first to strip her down and rebuild her.....

I have tried to make her more modern looking and had her frame powder coated, tank and fairings resprayed.....

I have not posted any threads about it as its the wrong forum for this topic but I will post a pic of her when she is done....In fact here is one jade responding well to rehab with the rebuilt engine back in newly powder coated frame......







She should be ready next week then I am gonna ride the living daylights out of her this summer......
