Anyone ever enrolled in music exams? As a music teacher, I often put my private music students in the Royal School of Music exams (www.abrsm.org). These are great because the student must be well-rounded and pass in technique, performance, sight-reading, ear-training, and theory. It will teach students to be very well-rounded musicians. There are 8 levels and in my opinion, the last level is equivalent to an undergraduate college level.

There are exams for guitar that are worth looking into. Check it out!!
