Bends
Bends
One of the most basic(just for me i guess) and important technique to use in guitar playing. Try to use two finger when you do one, i see lots of newbies tries to bend with just one i tell it will never work and sound right. A couple of practice suing the pentatonic scale and it would get you fingers stronger.

very nicely said,,and yes two fingers i very importantGreat tip.
Especially if you have to bend using your third and fourth finger.
I always would use my first, second (and third when avialable) behind the finger doing the bend.
This gives the most accurate fluid bend and allows you to hold it in a steady stable fashion
i do understand the technique of bending. it could be half tone or full tone.
but all this while, what is the different between bending few times rapidly and vibrato terms in classical? instead of bending your finger up and down, vibrato moves it back and forward rapidly on the same note. the soound is almost the same but i've learned that bending is not allowed in classical.

that's what i've been tought.
as for my experiment done, maybe it's true.
classical use nylon string that's not suitable for bending.
even if you bend it, you won't get the bending effect as much as steel string. it's really hard to get even 1/2 notes bending sound.
why don't you figure it your own and comment here?

I only use my third... but with the first and the second fingers helping the third finger...
