guitar chords

i have been playing for a number of years. i am really trying to improve my acoustic guitar finger picking and guitar chords.

i have been trying to find a book or website that brings together chords that can be played in a particular key. i am aware of the basic guitar chords keys(major minor dim). i am looking for something that expands on this shows / suggests other chords might fit around a particular key.

not sure if this is a really stupid question. if so SORRY

every key has associated chords ie in the key of C ( C D E F G A B )
the chords would be C( maj ) D ( min) E ( min) F ( maj ) G ( maj ) A ( min ) B ( dim )? ( teachers please )

youtube is a good source for any type of queeries

+ there are some good theorists on this forum

i understand the idea of chords associated with a key and i have that information. i was trying to find additional chords that are associated with each key, not just the main maj min and dim chords.

any ideas.
