How does your songs usually begin?

I know people have different approaches to songwriting on the guitar. Some come up with a theme first, other come up with a riff and expand. Some start with lyrics, others start with drums and a bass line.

So how do you start your songs? Once you have the start does the rest of the song come easily ?

I guess you are right, but I think one must come up with a plan, like a builder does. Its kind of an instant thought and if you connect with that thought then you develope the song from there. If you start out with the title, then that gives you a foundation to work on, kind of like a blueprint. Basically one should keep their imagination flowing till the song is completed
