Topic: EZdrummer

I have recently been setting up my studio after my cellar conversion. One thing that I have never been happy with is the lack of drums.

I have tried many different approaches to drums including the Alesis SR16 - this I didn't get on well with. Then I got a electronic drum kit - I am no drummer and when I realised that I was not a natural drummer I figured I didn't have the time t learn a whole new instrument.

I then found some decent drum loops - Beta monkey. This is what I have been using recently, just dropping the loops into Cubase and repeating them or dropping in a fill. However I have still found this pretty limiting.

Yesterday I discovered EZdrummer which is a VST which I can use within Cubase. The drum sounds are great and the drum loops sound pretty good too - the great thing about this is that it seems really simple to use, change tempos, alter drum beats etc.

So does anyone else use this for recording? Or if not, what do you use for your drums?
