Yep, all good- you get a Done Good sticker default/smile
If you want to dress it up, run a Dorian Mode over the top.

Re: aussieteacher is this right

On the open Cmaj7 a G,F, E on the 1st, D and open B on the 2nd, same on the Fmaj7, a G on the 1st string for the Fm6, on the two D9 and C9 add a note on the 1st string two frets up with your little finger- don't forget to add a Abmaj7 to the Cmaj7 and Bbmaj7 when you move down the fretboard, John- and end or start your verse with a Cmaj scale played from D to D- D E F G A B C D, then the open Cmaj7 again.
I came up with Cmaj7, C9, Fmaj7, Fm6, Cmaj7, D9, then Cmaj7 up the fretboard, Bb maj7, Abmaj7, Fm6 and the open Cmaj7, in that order.

aussie, thanks for taking your time to explain. I'm still on smoothing out the chord changing , and the tone is finally settling into my ears, such a beautiful tone coming from them chords. can't wait till it really comes out smooth.  Would you have what you said on printed word excel,  the chord charts and the other stuff you mention. Might be a little easier for me to follow, but I'm try'n my hardest to understand what you are teaching me.  Expect more question from this old timer  LOL

Old timer? default/smile You're in good company. I don't have anything printable, John, sorry, everything gets written by hand on manuscript paper and chord grids during lessons.
