Today marks the 65 anniversary of the Atomic Bomb. I only live about an 1.5 hours from Hiroshima and todays event is being broadcast worldwide. I don't think the bomb is our greatest threat anymore, but chemical warfare is our biggest threat. And for some reason it is being downplayed. Well, here is an article:

The wife and I haven't visit Hiroshima mostly because it really is a boring city. At least that is what she tells me. We have been to Nagasaki though. Both cities have rebounded with full life. Nagasaki is probably the better of the two to see if do come to Japan.

I first came here in the early 70's and in the 90's the wife wanted to move back to her home town here in Japan. Been here about 20 years now. I like it here. Although now we are mostly retired we do work mostly for a hobby it seems like these days. Nice to wake up in the morning and to have a river just minutes away to go fishing and catch the morning breakfast. Really live in a great part of Japan where nature is all around us. There are wild pigs in the mountain behind our house, but I have yet been hunting with the local people.
