Just curious about the time investment needed to tackle Van Halen's Eruption as a beginner guitarist. Any insights?

How to practice the Major Scale
I've learned the shapes of the Major Scale and can play them anywhere, but I'm unsure how to practice effectively beyond just running through them. I feel like I'm just getting faster, not more musical. Any tips on how to use these scales creatively?

Any way to get around the pain?
So I started learning how to play guitar on a 6 string acoustic guitar about 3 days ago. I don’t feel forced to practice but I’ve grown so passionate of the guitar the last few days that I find myself unable to stop from practicing and playing. I’ve seen I need to wait for my fingertips to harden up ...

Stuck in a rut, need motivation

Struggling to Play Beatles Songs on Guitar
I always thought Beatles songs would be easy to play on guitar, the typical four-chord stuff, until I actually started trying to play them. Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on how to improve?

Effective Ways to Improve Your Guitar Playing
I've been learning guitar for a year now and I'm trying to get in soloing and all that but are there effective ways to get there? To be honest I just spam the solos I want to learn and try to make them listenable but it isn't really a good strategy from what I've learnt.

Preferred Guitar Position
I started learning guitar a few days ago (mainly just A and D chords 15 mins a day until I start to get comfortable) and I'm noticing that I just cannot mesh with how acoustics are generally held; on the right thigh. I play right handed and I have my guitar on my left thigh and I generally lift my ...
