I can even play that.

Hey James, I'll keep them simple but fun to learn. As I mention in the other thread I'm actually playing along with the training exercise but I use the recording of the CD to give the true feel  of the exercise riff.  Look for the next one soon. An off take of this one.

Excellent start to the thread - is this you playing on the recording John?.

I'm playing along with it. I used the recording of it because it sounds better with the backing track. Any of the ones that I'll post I'll be playing along with them, but it is the recordings of an exercise track that I'm posting from. This makes it more interesting and it helps those that follow want to practice the exercises too  default/smile

A proper slap in the face to those sycophants in China who call for Chinese transparency in military matters.

The American satellite, I hope, would be able to detect the carcinogenic depleted uranium spread by the American military all over Iraq and carried by winds to nearby Middle Eastern states. Further, the satellite might be able to help find the hundreds of thousands of homeless Iraqis caused by the illegal American invasion. Or will the satellite finally locate Saddam Hussein's "Weapons of Mass Destruction"??

This is a basic Chicago blues

The notes are muted on this one

The lick is being played 4 times, so there is a break between each example

Also you are counting: one and two and three and four and

Use the down / up pick stroke to get the natural feel of the rhythm

Having owned both, they have their good points each.  But I ended up selling my Les Paul and keeping the Telecaster. In my opinion both were hard to get used to, but I'm happy with having the Tele as my main axe  default/smile

On my Fender Tele, I think I have the water base type of finish, but to me it seems to have that Fender trademark tone

One thing that I couldn't do was play music on the guitar. I just thought playing guitar was ok, but I think you and I both should start playing music on the guitar. I guess the best way to do it is follow someones example in playing a song, which I been trying to do recently

What do you guys like to play when jamming with friends?

Well it's been a couple of years since I played guitar with my childhood friend, so it was his style of music. Christian music. I just played some rhythm and added lead to his playing while he did the singing. I got the feeling he still thinks rock music is bad. Just can't change them childhood beliefs I guess.  He was my best man in my wedding too!
