Like it John - is it me or are you playing more with backing tracks right now?

Is this a backing track you wrote or a downloaded one?

Hi Olly
thanks for listening, I played along with a backing track on the net, something I'm trying to get used to doing. My playing actually improves when I do that

actually the white stripes guitar playing is ok, but the worst band that I don't know, maybe a cd that  I bought and I didn't think it was worth the price I paid for it. EC comes to mind

I bought mine at K-mart for about $40. I think the name was a Telsco, something like that. It was back in the 60's. I don't know what happened to it. I do now have a Fender Telecaster that I bought new some years ago and I don't see myself departing with it.

nearly every body ( 99.9999999999999%) is influenced by somebody
other peoples ideas are a good inspiration ...then put your own stamp on it...and ..you've got 8%
it sounds really original...which it is.. nice one

Thanks for your kind words polyal

I would be nice to show if we had posted in the thread. Something where it shows we posted in this thread.

I would add more funny smily's . Check out some of the other forums and see what they are using.

I really like the color tone you are using on this one. Easy on the eyes.

You added the chat, which is nice.

Hey, you folks over there are in bad shape, hope you all have firewood and a stove. In the future you won't be able to rely on the conveniences of life for your survival. Back to the basics. Your own canned food and ...  whatever it takes to survive the changing climate.

Did you see what is happening to California with all the rains. Now all the the beaches are toxic dumps.  What a freak'n disaster!

Not bad, John....has a real LZ feel to it, but there's a note or two that is in the riff that surprises the ear and makes it sound fresh, and not predictable.  With blues licks I dont hear that very often, so good job!

Thanks for listening Instructor and thanks for your kind words. I try not to copy other artist because well, I really can't to begin with anyway so I just kind of make up my own stuff, but I do steal other peoples musical ideas and create something from them

Well I sure hope they do - what kind of styles are you into? Do you have any recordings of your music uploaded?

If so, be sure to post them as I would love to give it a listen. Soundclick is one of many places that you can upload your music for free!

Hi Olly

I've posted a few of my music clips, but here is a song I wrote and had a musician take over/ did the music and singing.  Of course I do the music to all my songs but I just let my friend do his own feelings that he connected with the lyrics and here is the result. Listen to the lyrics and it gives you an idea of my songwriting skills

A lot more is going on, like brainwashing the public that it is not their business if the government lies about whatever. Well tell that to all the Vets who died and have been injured in Iraq and Afganistan.
