You used this site before? Is it a well known one? I really like the sunburst, is it worth the extra? Ahh.

If I can give any advice, and what I would of liked to of been given to me?

Don't go on YouTube and look for "Easy songs for beginners" I found it had me stuck for days trying to learn a simple song, and not progressing, so I stopped with all the flapping, chose a song I liked, and knew the timing of down to a tee etc etc...

It was Time For Heroes by The Libertines, a band I love and was one of the reasons I picked up the guitar, I just kept at this until I could play it, its a good song with Fm, Bm, G, & A. Once i learnt that, I felt I was really getting somewhere and it spurred me on to learn more, so I just kept doing it a song at a time.

So my advice after all this chit chat, just pick a song you like, know and love, and learn it. The reward is so much more than learning Wonderwall by Oasis.

Oh, and check out justinguitar.com > His videos are great, and helped me loads!

Yeah, the fender was bought on a whim really, waste of money I realise now. Seems to have a generic guitar sound rather than its own, if that makes sense?
You know anywhere online that may do it cheaper?

Thanks! Appreciated.

well it looks like the C shape at 10th fret using your pinky on the top E at 10th fret also.

Then down to 5th and 3rd fret with the same shape.

I will have to spend more time to work it out exactly as not familiar with the song - is this the sort of thing the tabs indicate?

I got the intro part, its just when he starts singing, "I feel so sorry for you" about 15 seconds in... Its that chord progression I need, it looks like a G then I'm not sure, then back to the C,C,C on the standard, 3rd fret and 8th fret.

Its just the chorus I need. default/smile Thanks

Alot of forums have limits on what you can post when you join, you have to post so much to enter certain parts of the forum etc..Or even Register to view topics. Just idea's...

Has the site got a Facebook Page?

Budget is around 200-250, I could be tempted to 300 but no more...

I just spent like £179 on a Fender Elec/Acou -

This one:

I feel I've totally wasted my money? Is it just the strings perhaps? or is this guitar jus a generic one with a generic sound?

A friend of mine advised to check these Guitars out, any thoughts?

Any thoughts? I have also liked the sound of a few Tanglewoods I've heard on YouTube, I just am not really happy with the sound my Fender gives off.

Thanks

Anyone help please?

...lol

I did message him and ask for chords, however he referred me to UltimateGuitar but everyone I find is not the one he is playing and is diff, so I ask your help here to find out the chords he is playing, including the little intro peice...

MEGA APPRECIATED!!!

I wasn't when I first started and although I was advised I'd get different sounds etc I just though they all sounded the same.

As I've became more experienced with playing you really can hear a difference in picks.

Starting to get picky! (no pun intended default/smile )

Hi and welcome!

What kind of music are you into and what do you enjoy playing on the guitar?

All kinds to be honest, there was a massive list of songs I wanted to learn on the guitar so still learning some of those. I just kind of learn songs I like, I'm a major fan of The Libertines so it was mainly them at first.

But lately its been a person called Lissie.

If you havn't heard of her, check her out, amazing, songs are pretty straight forward aswell.

She has an album out the moment, Catching A Tiger.

Hi all,

I suppose im still a newbie myself, and I know how hard it can be first hand to find chords or lessons on line to learn the guitar.

Stil fresh though and stil visited reguarly is this site, this guy is unreal and helped me alot.

Takes you from baby steps right through, not like most youtube videos that tell you briefly where to play and to copy them, its not going to happen.

This guy will literally show you finger by finger what your doing starting form basics to advanced.

Check him out.

Here is the lesson index:

Well, I started learning the usual beginner songs, and googled like crazy for easy songs to play once I discovered a few chords.

Knocking on Heavens Door etc...

I felt these haulted my progress, so I decided to find some of my favourite songs of the moment and no matter what chord I would learn them.

I would reccomend this to all, pick a song you like, or love, and you know inside out rather than something thats popular cause its easy. You get so much more from it.

I learnt.

Dont Look Back Into The Sun and Time For Heroes by The Libertines.

Helped alot with Barre chords.

So my advice after 7 months? Learn soemthing you like and know.

Yeah seen that, but would love some actual chords to the song.

Acoustic.

Lady Sovreign - Jigsaw

I understand its not your "usual" guitar song, but I like to do version of songs on my acoustic but can't find any chords for this song.

IT WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!
