Regarding your hand.....I have limited ability in my left hand.......I was attacked by a dog when working as post man....I had 16 broken bones and 56 stitches......Playing the old guitar has helped me build back up strength.....
So if it has helped me me I am sure it will help you....

But funny you should bring this old post back to life........
After Jade though me off last December......I decided as she was my first to strip her down and rebuild her.....
I have tried to make her more modern looking and had her frame powder coated, tank and fairings resprayed.....
I have not posted any threads about it as its the wrong forum for this topic but I will post a pic of her when she is done....In fact here is one jade responding well to rehab with the rebuilt engine back in newly powder coated frame......
She should be ready next week then I am gonna ride the living daylights out of her this summer......

to start with i can see the logic......
as skills grow so does confidence then you get a bit more adventurous....
you start putting to gather all sorts of great things......
Although i think the best songs are the simple ones......
ACDC "you shook me all night long" Simple G.C.D chords and the solo in G minor pentatonic....
no need to go dancing all over frets to get great songs
