So the other night I was  chatting with my mate about what Guitars you would have in the ultimate collection.  We sort of got there but one or two debates started.

I said in Order.

1, 1950s Les Paul (gold top)
2, 1960s Strat
3, 1960s SG
4, 1950s Telecaster

After that it goes to pot. I said Brian Mays Red Special should be in their. Me pal says no only one player as played it. I say yes it means a lot to a lot of people. He then said 1960s Rickenbacker  I said no there are not that many left after Pete Townsend antics. Plus that guitar was made famous by Townsend abusing them.

So what do you think and what would yours be.

Ihave picked up a couple  of new guitars this week. Both Gregg Bennitt Samicks, I can't tell you how good these guitars are for the money. I have updated my RL2 to a very nice RL4 LTD, I had to wait 4 months for this to be imported, but it as well worth it. I also had imported an AV6 LTD which is also stunning for £300.

They both have Duncan Design HB101 in the bridge which is a Korean made  SH-51, and a HB-102 in the neck, a Korean made SH-2N. They are wound and use the same magnets as the original spec, I assume, but I could be wrong thay are made under Licence by Samick. (Thats because they are made in Korea, and Samick make Guitars and parts for every body, you would not believe how many parts and Guitars are on the market that have come from them).

They sound flipping great, both nice and bright and tight.

So since I have become a bit of a guitar snob, would you change the pups tp Seymore Duncans.
