With me doing a Law degree (HE SAYS BIGHEADED). There is plenty of evedance to show that fining people with nothing leads to further crimes and cost the public purse more, trying to inforce the fine.
Fining people on £35 a week is pointless.
Now from a non legal point of view and not plating devils advacate surly there should be a return to public flogging. I propose this should take place as pre match entertainment befor the start of a football match. The crowd could be selected via a raffle to come down and and inflict some pain.
I know I am genes its cheaper then prison, fine inforcing and the F****** goverment could earn tax on the profit from raffle tiket sales.

Simon Huges, has just been interviewed on BBC and says that he believe a lot of the rioting is due in his opinion, to Social justice issues.
He has suggested an urgent review of the funding cuts to the Police, youth workers, youth clubs, sport centres and all youth projects. Also he suggested a urgent review is needed of Police powers such as stop and search.
A bit more then just a thought now.

Well after a few years of not going to gigs because none of my friends are into metal, this year, I decided to start going on my own, and I've had a great time, the people I've met have all been really friendly, wish I'd started going on my own years ago :-)
Good for you

Re: London, fall apart (11 replies, posted in Politics & Economics)
Just to play devils advocate, lets say, the riots are a catalyst because of the state of the economy. Poor comunitys are been squeezed worst then ever, no jobs increases in food price by, from what I have heard 15% . Power bills up this week 18%, centres for young people to help them find work that where government funded now closed. Pressure on young people to have the designer cloths and fitting in.
Then all the power given to police which they will wilfully abuse, ok not all of them, but after watching a Police documentary which was filmed in London, "THEY HAVE TAZERS, AND CHRIST THEY WANT TO USE THEM". The shooting of an innocent man, by from what I firmly believe was a trigger happy copper, think Jean Charles de Menezes.
The poor in society always pay while the fat bankers whom caused the economic situation carry on taking there bonus's home.
Just a thought.

On the vypyr, vox model with a tube screamer stomp model in front of it, on a clean setting, its just out of this world, rugged but each string has defanition.
Even me pal likes it, which is very odd, because if it doesn't say fender, gibson, or marshal on it his nose goes right up. He use a fender twin , and has a soils state marshal, which he use's mainly with effects.
But we both agree the vypyr is just missing something, he claims its that good old tube sizzle and i sort of have to agree.

Topic: Which tube amp would buy. (19 replies, posted in Amplifiers)
With it been nearly student loan time, and plus I have been a good boy in the wifes eyes, its time to spend big on a amp.
The peavey vypyr has done its job to a certain degree, which was to help me decide on a amp. The one I am in favour of is the vox ac30, and a ibanez tube screamer in front of it.
Yet on a vox clean setting its just has to much chime. Now the marshal plexi model on clean is perfect, yet on dirty even with the tube screamer its just not as rugged as the vox plus tube screamer.
Then I am across a forum review which said and was supported that the vox ac30 does not take overdrive or distortion pedals well. And on the vox site on a vid for a ac30 although it was the hybrid tube and modelling combo ac30vr, the bloke taking about it said "it takes pedals well". So I thought he has said that because vox are known for not taken pedals well. Make sense?
Then on another forum I read that a good budget amp for delivering the classic British tones ( which was what the vypyr helped me find, the tone i was looking for was the British invasion tone) was the bugara 1990. Then I read this are unreliable.
So I am lost and don't know which way to turn
. The peavey Windsor could be the dark horse. of this bunch.
Vox ac30c2
Marshal class 5 Head and cab
Peavey Windsor head and cab
Bugera 1990 head and cab (by far the cheapest)
Peavey vypye 120 head and cab ( hybrid of tubes and modelling, its the next one up from what I got, which is solid state modelling)
Vox night train 15 watt head and cab
Ibanez TSA15H 15W head and cab with built in tube screemer
I will almost certainly get a ibanez tube screamer.
So what would you do?
