I usually choose a guitar to suit what I'm playing as they all have such different sounds, as far as favorite's go, probably my Yamaha FG160, as it's been with me 30 odd years,  default/smile

Nice one Alun - what inspired this purchase? I see this is a semi acoustic - is this the reason or was it something else?

Hi Olly,  default/smile  I was just checking the sale goods and spotted it, It is sold as a starter guitar, comes with strap, strings, picks, Dvd, you know the stuff, I liked it instantly and when I picked it up to play, well that was it, This is a very good Guitar, the finish is flawless, it has an on board chromatic tuner, 4 band EQ, plus cable balance socket and control, (Low Hz-Hi Hz) die cast tuners, it just is very nice,  default/cool

I have just built a 2x12 Cab, I will post a pic soon.

It has in 2, 8ohms, Celestion Vintage Classic Lead 30, which i bought on the bay for £47.

I have wired them in series, which gives me a 16ohms Cab.

Can I use the 1x16 out on my Blackstar HT 20?????

Yes that should be ok, 16 Ohms into 16 Ohms,  default/cool

Can you not take them back and exchange for the correct ones? although I've always thought they were quite standard sizes, you could always take the correct size wood drill, and insert into the peg hole and give it a couple of turns by hand, (not in a drill) this should give you the extra depth you need,  default/hmm
http://s8.postimage.org/fwu86r07l/mobat9.gif

and the screw holes on the plate don't make any difference as the old ones will covered anyway,  default/wink

The flamenco guitar is built to be lighter by way of the internal bracing, and would have a cedar top which is softer and allows higher playing volumes, (to be heard above the flamenco dancers shoes) these tops actually wear through with the constant tapping of the player, they also set up with a far lower action than a classical guitar,  default/smile
