They look like Warrior guitars.  Very similar from what I can tell.

They have to be changed if you want to have the best sound possible from the guitar strings that they can get.  You don't have to change them, only change them if youre not hearing the results that you like.  I mean you don't have to tune your guitar either, you can go off on some experimental plonking thing and as long as you like it till they are all broken.

In general though, the reason we change them is to give it the best sound we can.  Strings get dirty and dull and sometimes break, and when one's bad, the others are probably not far, so we tend to change them all at once so you dont have 1 bright dtring with 5 dull sounding ones.

What do you have planned to change things?  I have started coming on here about once a month because it seemed to be the same 5 guys all the time, and nothing that is being posted is something that I relate with/find worthy of comment.    I like you, Olly and want to support what you're doing, so I'm wondering what's going to change.

Since its all acoustic, Ive been using the phone itself as a mic, its not terrible by any means, but certainly not condenser mike quality.

I have since started sending rough tracks to a drummer I met online who lives across the country, and he is using the rough ideas and the tempo markings to record and send a drum track for me to use as I develop it further.  Its been a lot of fun.

Just wanted to share my experience with an app I downloaded last week.  Sonoma Wireworks has  app called 4 Track, and, it has revived my writing, and original song development activity.  I have been waiting since 2009 to get an album finished, but for one reason or another, I have yet to do so.  Since last week, I have managed to use this app to track 6 songs that have been languishing, to the point of being pre production demos, so that other musicians can get an idea of the song.  The quality, for it being an iPhone is surprising.

This is a great tool, and it will  help me finally get my music done.

Never heard of this song or this band/player?

But  checked it out on youtube and it is a really nice tune though crazily fast in places!

How far have you got with it?

Samick is a Korea based piano company, that also does made in China/Indonesia guitars as well as a lot of other brands.    They do Silvertone and Greg Bennett (formerly these were the Samick named guitars), Washburn, Epiphone, Hohner as well.

Yes,  I have been offered a contract to play some events for Public Relations Advertising and Marketing agency in Houston.  They want me to do it in exchange for their PR services, but as of right now I'm staying one step ahead of going that route.     Doing it myself.  And, collecting it in cash.

One that accomplishes its objective and makes you feel like it was something different, it could be music or lyrics.  An example that I can play in my sleep but find amazing in its writing is Joe Pug's Nation of Heat.

Well written song!

The earliest I will accept a student is 6.  Its not their question of age, per se, but its one of their practice habits away from the lesson.  If you have a young person whose support system is in place to direct and organize and participate in their off week practices, then a child can progress.  If not, then you have to wait for their person maturity.  In almost all cases if success, I find that the difference between a student that does well and one that does not, regardless of age...is buy-in and practice.

As for Albums that I literally liked every song on:

White Ladder - David Gray
Amos Lee (self titled)
Third Eye Blind's Debut Album
Appetite for Destruction -  I didn't much like some of the songs, like You're Crazy AND Anything Goes.  One of my favorite points was the Stones-ish Breakdown on Rocket Queen.
Full Moon Fever - Tom Petty

If the rest of you all feel it's fine, then maybe I'm the odd man out here.

Its always a possibility.

Every bit of this is true.  I recall when it happened.  China actually got the equipment from the Korean factory when it was closed, and promptly dropped the ball with it.  Glad to see this at the forefront.

I hate Digitech.

Their manuals are overcomplicated, none of their tones are very good imo, and I own a GNX 4 and a GNX 3.  Hate them both.

I'm not worried about it, Ive never been one to mince words, and if you want to do good in business, its a good idea to be able to recieve feedback.  I tell my rep the same thing.  I'm not afraid, if they want to live in a fantasy world where everything they are told is great and wonderful like a soothsayer, they are going to have a hard time with the likes of me.

Yeah,  Ive been here a month or so, and it looks like the same cast of characters, and not much going on.  I've done my part to kick it a notch here, but I don't know.  It takes everyone, to make it work, when you have such a small amount of activity.

In all honesty I have considered checking back less and less because there seems to be so little going on...

And with that, this makes my 200th post.

I dont like the click tracks, they are primitive at best and the tracking of the change is sort of a bother,  I also dont like how when overdubbing the signals get degraded with each pass, I think its a good idea in theory, but in using it  to set a loop and then overdubs etc, it gets quickly hideous.  Also if you need different tones forget it.  If you have a two channel amp its going to be whatever that amp setting is on, so its clean only or dirty only, and thats too constraining because theres not a division of guitar tones, levels etc.  It's just slop to my ears.  Well over priced for what I ultimately get out of it.
