Yea I will tell her, but maybe just not what it really cost, that way I won't have to make my own tea,,, maybe?
No responses, I guess no one has one right now, so it forces me to find time to go back to the guitar store. I will not enjoy that trip  default/lol

Was wondering if anyone out there owns a Fender Strat Blacktop HH, I made the mistake of stoping by a music store and spotted one across the room. I only had a short time so I only looked, didn't test drive it.
I have been told that with the humbuckers it sounds similar to a LP, but also retains the Strat tones as well. If that is true I have just discovered my new axe default/smile
Now how to purchae without the wife knowing???? default/hmm
If anyone has one please post what your thoughts are on it.   Thanks

I know that most you out there you will think this is silly, but I just learned how to use sus/add chords  default/smile  It's so simple in most chords just adding a finger or moving down one fret. Up to this point I have been concentrating on the maj and min chords and canging them correctly & quickly, but found those additional chords that make subtle changes in the tones. Thats what I like about learning guitar! default/cool
OK, I have my newbie suit on so you proffesionals can have a good laugh at the pub tonight. default/wink  PS. have one for me default/smile

Hello everyone, I'm new here and new to the guitar as well. I now have an cheap Washburn guitar that i'm learning on, but it don't produce the tones that I like, since playing a Les Paul made by Epiphone. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a similar brand name that will produce the tones of the Les Paul at a price that won't break the bank. Since being here I have seen numerous brands mentioned that I didn't know existed. Let me know what brands you have that sound similar to a Les Paul? Thanks

Whern the bug really gets bad, you'll find the guitar grumbles at you if you walk past and ignore it.
Has you part of the US been affected by the blizzards?

Hey and welcome. Hope you enjoy the forum. Any questions you have then feel free to ask. We have a whole bunch of friendly people with varying musical tastes.

What music are you into and what do you like to play on the guitar?

I like rock and blues, but right now just learning the ropes again. When much younger I played drums in a local band, but would pick up the guitar when I had a chance and enjoyed it very much, then life got in the way and it has been a number of years since I have played. Learning most by memory and the internet, but it seems I just can't put the guitar down, I love it.

Greetings, I wanted to introduce myself and tell a little about my experience. I am from the US in Virginia and have just begun to relearn guitar after many years.
I first purchased a Squire by Fender and small amp, but found that the neck width was just too small for my fingers, so I found a Lyon made by Washburn that fits my hand very nicley. ( I know they are both very inexpensive guitars, but wanted to make sure I was going to stick with playing again before purchasing an expensive guitar).
I am here to learn all I can from you guy's, and will probably just lurk some at first, but already have many newbie questions that I want to ask, will save those for later. Thanks. default/smile
