Topic: keyboard sustain pedal? (1 replies, posted in Effects)
i received a roland keyboard sustain pedal by mistake instead of a boss ph2 phaser. ( i eventually got the phaser for free because of the mistake) so my question is can i use this sustain pedal as an expression pedal on other guitar effects that have an expression pedal input?
i would just try it myself but i dont have any pedals with expression input, and dont want to buy one and have it not work.
i know it wont sustain the effect or anything i figure its a pedal with a pot in it and the same size jack as guitar pedal inputs that maybe it will work.

any diy cheap ways to do it that are way stronger? im not one of those emo kids by any means haha but i do go nuts when i play
. im using the dunlop strap locks and what ive found is they stick too far off of the guitar body and get too much leverage on the small screws working them out of the holes. this is a problem for my ibanez gax 70 a cheap guitar but i just dont want that screw getting ripped out and not be able to use it.

what pick materials give electric guitar a brighter sound for licks where you play a few notes on a single string?
i ask because i like my tone when i play chords on my electric and the way it cleans up the softer i play.
but when i play simple solos or licks on a single string it gets too quiet/ not as driven sounding.
so would changing picks help this or should i get a boost pedal? i want to spend the least money possible.
