I know what you mean - I only heard them recently on a compilation album. I'm surprised they weren't better known in their heyday.

Absolutely, these are all used in a number of songs.

Well, if you don't ask, you don't get!

For 36 dollars I would expect Danish virgins to hand feed me the watermelon.

Found an old mixed tape (yes, my car still has a tape player). Fantastic.

Hello and welcome!

No. The whole recession was (and remains) media-generated. I know I'm not the only one who noticed that there was no mention of the recession during the 2008 Olympics - the news crews had something else to focus on.

There has been a slight slow down in the house sale market here and the newspapers (including the London Times, most dissappointingly) have jumped on the "double-dip" bandwagon.

My wife's cousin has a rather nifty gadget which is a sort of joint turntable and CD player which allows you to take your old records and put them on CD.

I guess there is something kind of cool though about the idea of chilling out with the record player going in the background.

Are you a jazz fan John?

I must admit it's never appealed to me. I like a bit of Dizzy Gillespie but that's the extent of it for me.

That is interesting.

I used to work in the pub trade a few years back and our music license was over a thousand pounds a year. (about US$1600) The coffee shop across the road used to play the radio because it was free to broadcast.

Yeah I love sushi. It's hard to come by the real stuff here; we have a few Japanese restaurants dotted around but they tend to be pretty expensive.

What's the price of a meal in a sushi bar like over there John?
