Glad I'm not classed as old then :-)

Which one? Lol default/big_smile

I tend to change my workhorse guitars about every other month or so, or when I break a string, which seems to be quite often lately for some reason. I usually try to make the change about a week before any gigs so that the strings are settled in as well.
I usually change the others when they start to feel old and not so new.

I was round a friends and he was showing me his guitar and Marshall. I just had to get an electric after that, I had acoustics before but the electric was what did it for me. Then I got into AC/DC and the rest is history.

So I've just got back from rehearsals and I took this guitar to give it a good test at volume.
I was amazed a how warm sounding it is, the coil taps give it some great variations  in it's tone and mixing one pickup tapped and the other not also gives great variations.
This is easily one of my highest ranking guitars for versatiltity, I'm really pleased with it. It must've sounded impressive, the other guitarist in our band wanted it off me lol.

Sounds great so far, need to take it to rehersal on Friday to give it a run through the Marshall, I'm sure it's gonna sound great though.

Went Christmas shopping over the weekend in London and visited Denmark Street. In one of the shops the guy said that they're selling the gibson's off cheap due to the new 2013 range being released. I picked up this standard SG with a 60's profile neck and coil taps.
Plays and sounds brilliantly.

Tbh if it's just for home use, I wouldn't bother with an amp. I use my BR 600 either pluged into my stereo or with head phones. Sounds better than any practice amp for the same price, or even dearer to think of it.

AC/DC is a current band, they haven't split up yet. And they are THE BEST at what they do.

Kinda regret buying an SG in black. I forgot how annoying black guitars can be, they just don't stay nice n shiney for long enough lol

I went to the Marshall gig but I had pretty good seats and didn't get pissed lol.
Went to the Led Zeppelin premier of celebration day on Friday, I know it was a film but it was like being at the gig as it was at Hammersmith, and I got to see some rock legends in the flesh.

It's gotta be the 1963 standard, I bought the classic so I could semi retire the old standard but now I use a Parker fly as my main gigging guitar because it's so versatile.

Yeah I got 2, a 1963 Standard and a classic with p90's. Easily my favourite guitars.
