Topic: Should this be happening????????????

So a while back I bought another Greg Bennet. This time his take on a Les Paul, an AV6, Spalted Maple top, about 3mm thick and a mahogany 4 piece body. It has the Duncan Design trem bucker pick ups in it, a crap Wilkinson bridge  but nice Grover machine heads.

So since I have my Blackstar I am doing some serious bonding with this guitar it sounds just like I have always imagined my sound would be like, (with a little help from the Blackstars ISF).

My problem is I don't want to bond with this £300 guitar I want to bond with my Gibson, yet it is just not happening I don't vibe when playing the SG like I do with Greg Bennet. I have just ordered a hard case for Greg Bennet as I don't want it get damaged.

Should this bonding be happening??

This is quite normal James,  default/big_smile  you can't fight it, don't even try,  default/tongue just roll with it, if the Greg Bennet does it for you then so be it, Brand and price isn't the be all and end all,

You are right Alun. I am just starting to go with the flow.

I agree with Alun - it isn't about price nor brand.

Having said that you are still relatively newly associated with your Gibson so give it time! Some relationships take a while to mature!

Its getting quite a friendship, I have just bought a cheap EQ pedal and got it sounding even better.

I polished Annie today twice (I named the samick Annie, as the natural wood finish reminds me of the 70s, plus I have a black and electric blue strap and for some reason this all reminds me of 70s porn. The first porn movie I ever saw was called little oral Annie hence the name).

I am planning to do some recording on Thursday after my last exam.
