Topic: Pot

Being a parent, I wouldn't my children to smoke it until the age of 18 or a bit older. We been brainwashed into this reefer madness stuff, so one wonders what is the true danger of its usuage. My guess is, that it is a bit less poisonous to our health than alcohol.

Think that has been medically proven.

Re: Pot

'drugs' in themselves can be very beneficial if used correctly ( when needed ) . but lets face it.. in the case of alcohol the only way to get  shitfaced  is have a bellyful of it ..so while you're  being the ' life and soul of the party' ..your liver is going bright yellow...and if you smoke pot..your lungs are going black (apart from killing off a few million brain cells to boot )

there is a guideline (LOL!) for safe amounts of alcohol but who wants to sit there with an egg cup full of lager all night

i think pot is the lesser of two evils...but you cant beat a few lagers ( IMO )

......and while the government is trying to suppress joe bloggs last few pleasures..why don't they tax the shit out of chocolate/biscuits/cakes/crisps/junk food or anything that causes obesity..which leads to premature death via heart attacks and strokes

they could put on a all the above mentioned:
.....EATING THIS IN EXCESS CAN TURN YOU INTO A LUMP OF LARD AND KILL YOU

anyway when i've had my sausage, egg, chips, beans and pudding ..i'm off to the pub for a bucketful,,
and sod the exercise i'll go in the car

Re: Pot

Drugs are useful,

At the min I am carry a right old back problem. Dick c6 at the top of my neck has got a torn muscle coming from it. This has caused the disk to swell and it is now what is medically referred to as bulging.

As well, I have numbness all across my right shoulder. When you tear muscle that muscle releases a chemical which can aggravate nerves.

At the min I love the drugs the doc is giving, yet I don't love the osteopath £70 an hour.

Both alcohol and most drugs were freely available until 1926 when the newly formed DEA in America banned everything. But because there was such a backlash against alcohol being banned, and because of the racketeering and the high number of gangland wars and killings, it was decided to legalise alcohol again. Drugs such as weed, heroin, and cocaine were not really used as much back then, so it was decided that it would not legalise them because of their high addictiveness, especially with the coke and the smack, which had a high death rate as well. Weed was included because not enough was known about it, so they decided to lump it in with all the other dangerous drugs. Also the government reaps a huge amount of tax out of alcohol, which is why one of the most addictive and dangerous drugs in the world has never been outlawed, Tobacco.

Re: Pot

I kind of think between drink and pot, I'd rather have pot. Just seen to much damage in life done by alcohol. I once was involved in a car accident and the driver was drunk and just took off. I called the police and gave them the license no. and they already knew who he was. Still had a car, but no license to drive.  Pot, I'm convenced that the drug companies want it banned and they pay off the politicians to keep it that way.

have to disagree with you there. The DEA are solely responsible for world wide drug enforcement and work with governments to keep control over  keeping drugs off the streets. Also a stoned driver is just as likely to cause an accident as a drunk driver. The reason why more drunk drivers are caught, is because alcohol is legal. Here in South Australia weed used to be legal, untill about 10 years ago. Then accidents caused by stoned drivers, were just as common as accidents caused by drunk drivers.
