Guys is this a good time time to admit that I don't really know what I am playing or what chords I go to...... I do know the basics A,C,D,G,.......After that I just move my fingers about till I find some thing that I think fits,,,,, I will try to get a chord book off the bay....Its probably a good bet that I am playing what your writing but I don't really have a clue....

Most of the songs I write are like this,,,,,, The first one I wrote I could now if needed play live but I still don't know what chords I am playing.....

this could be the next song ...when you've sorted reaper send the acc/voc etc
and lets put it together ( if thats ok with you? )...but for now try to put a voc to the backing above if poss. if we dont get anything we will have to scrap it and move on...collaboration is the main man....this is not a way of life ...just an experiment

Hi James

A chord book is good however there are loads of references online and if there is a chord you don't know then just shout and they can be written like this:

- for example a C = x32010

K this song the

x32030
then C
x02030
x32000

james ....just play the chords what sound right ...i ( we ) can work them out by ear
and yes ....a bit of theory would never go amiss

if you download and run powertab ( freeware ) ...it has a really good chord section where you can
make your own chords and it will give you an option of names..plus all the chords there ever was

menu-->guitar-->chord diagram list

ie if you enter x02220 it will tell you its A
if you enter 002220 it will tell you its A/E
if you enter 202220 it will tell you its A/F#
if you enter 024144 it will tell you piss of and go and learn D (joke)
and so on

I was hoping some one else would string some chords together and see wher we go....

Posted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 12:13 am

it doesn't necessarily need another string of chords ( not yet ??).....what it needs is say... a good git riff
or a voc to stir it up a bit......
come on..........if you cant record on a computer and create an mp3... POST...so it can be sorted!

Hey guys, I just tuned into this thread. I'd like to help you all out with the lyrics if you don't mind. That is if it isn't done already. Just send me the sound track and I'll come up with some lyrics. Don't remember if I posted this or not, but here is a demo of a song I wrote. I had a friend of mine do it. So it is not me playing or singing, but it will give you some idea of my songwriting "potential" :D

sorry, for some reason I can't upload it

go for it...
play the track so far ( post 48 ) and record it directly into your sequencer / recorder
create the voc track and post ...with and without the backing+no effects

posting 'with' will give an idea of how you see it
posting 'without' ( and no effects ) will allow the voc to be edited etc if req

i had trouble with google chrome uploading...but it was sorted ( olley )
what browser are you using...contact olley for a fix

Ends on... F/C x4

Beyond the Waves

Where do I begin Where do I begin

Pass me the bong Pass me the bong again

The waves are crashing in

My head is in a spin

Where do I begin Where do I begin

Hi guys. Well, can one of you put the chords to this and sing it. I have all the lyrics written now, but I don't have time to post them this morning, and besides I'd like to get a little feedback on this.

thanks

I don't have time today, but I'll post as much as I can as time permits and let's see what you guys can do with it. I think you'll like the lyrics. I didn't really want to push the drug scene, but the words just came out the way they did. You know how it is on the north shore of Hawaii. :D

I'm here all alone I'm here all stoned

OK, guys I'll add more soon. Try to work with this and let me know what you think ;)

I may not have mentioned it on here but at the min I have a bulging disk in my neck. C6. :/

I am coming up to exams with uni.

But I do want to keep this very much alive.

I have tried to night to record the rhythm all the way though but it is very choppy. I will post what I have done tomorrow. Hopefully some one will record a better version. I have done a intro which is a arpeggio.

We need a singer... anyone..

I like, cheers John, Maybe we should have some sort of phaser in there to give it a bit of a psychedelic feel.

OK, guys. I'll be adding more lyrics this week. Hope all of you got something going on this.
