Switching to better pickups made a noticeable difference for me. The clarity improved and the guitar just felt more responsive.

Honestly, adjusting amp EQ properly helped more than buying new gear. I realised I had been using way too much bass.

Using better quality cables reduced noise in my rig and made everything sound cleaner.

Understanding that I was a unique entity.
This was the key to my subsequent musical endeavours.
Everything then fell into place.
I was no longer the guy playing Jimi Hendrix’s guitar through Warren Cuccurullo’s rack, into Steve Vai’s Marshalls.
Now I play my guitar, through my amp, and sound like me.
