Everyone remembers their first song, even if it sounded terrible at the time! What was the first song you learned to play, and how long did it take you to get it right?

The first one I remember actually playing all the time was the James Bond theme tune. It was my go to tune for many years
Quite an easy one to get started and instantly recognisable!

Mine was “Smoke on the Water.” It was simple enough to learn quickly but still felt like I was playing a real song.

My first song was one I probably shouldn’t have attempted as a beginner. It took ages, but it kept me motivated.

I learned a few basic chord songs first. They were hard at the time but taught me a lot about rhythm playing.
