I have been playing my acoustic for a little over a 2months. I’m at a very frustrating point in my journey. I feel like I have already peaked. I can’t seem to change chords any faster (slow as hell). It feels like I have spent the last couple of weeks in purgatory. I cannot seem to improve in anything. I’m stuck. Tell me I will get quicker if I stick with it. Tell me I have not yet peaked. Thank you all for your input!!!

Try to have fun with it. I never really benefited from traditional musical learning, I just wanted to learn a particular song, and put all my energy towards that. Having something that motivates you is important.

I've been playing for years and still have moments where things feel stagnant. Keep at it, the breakthroughs will come when you least expect it.

Keep at it, progress isn't always linear. You will have breakthroughs when you least expect it. Don't give up!

I remember feeling the same way when I first started.

Chord changes can be tough, but with practice, you will definitely see improvement. Keep at it and don't be too hard on yourself.

Remember why you started playing in the first place and keep that passion alive. Progress may be slow but it will come with dedication and practice.

Nothing about learning guitar is fast. Trust me though when I say you will get better. Guitar takes time and patience. Not unusual at all to take months and months to get good at chords and transitions. Stick it out you will be glad you did.

You have not yet peaked! But guitar ruts are a very common thing - certainly in my case.

The first period that you pick up the guitar you will almost always imemdiately see progress. But as you improve the progress seems less and less. However, if you recorded yourself a month ago to now you would almost certainly hear the improvement. It is just no longer as dramatic in progression but it is still progress!

Keep at it. Change it up a little bit and progress will come. Record yourself now and compare it in a few weeks. You will see progress!

Don't worry about speed, focus on accuracy and clean chord changes. The speed will come with practice. Keep pushing through, you got this!

Don't get discouraged, progress in guitar playing can be slow at times. Stick with it and you will see improvement.

The distance to the moon is 384,000 km. You are an astronaut scheduled to go to the moon today and you are saying you got in your car and drove to the launch pad but the moon still looks so far away and you’ll never get there.
