Hey, I used to struggle with this too! My advice is to just keep experimenting. Start by playing the root of the chord, and as you get more comfortable, try adding different notes. It’s a learning process, so just have fun with it! The more you play, the more you’ll understand how to build melodies that resonate.

I'm trying to get my head around how to effectively approach target notes in my playing. I understand that intervals can sound different depending on the chord underneath, but I'm not quite sure how to go about targeting those notes while also crafting a melody.
