Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about gear I've sold over the years and it seems like I've made a few choices I now regret. Most notably, I sold my first electric guitar to fund a more expensive model, but I didn't really connect with the new one the same way. I’ve often wondered if I should have held onto that first guitar, even just for sentimental reasons.

So I’m curious: what’s your biggest regret when it comes to buying or selling gear? Any advice on how to avoid these mistakes in the future? I’d love to hear your experiences and any lessons you've learned.

I get what you mean, Sam. I sold a really nice Telecaster a few years back, thinking I’d find something better. But I just never found that same vibe again. Now I spend a lot of time looking for something that just feels right.

Exactly, BluesGuy. I think we sometimes get caught up in the idea of upgrading when what we really need is to appreciate what we have. I’ve learned now to really connect with my gear before making any big decisions. Sentimental value is worth more than we realise.
