Does Life's Ups and Downs Shape Our Music?

Hey everyone, I’ve been wondering about something lately. I went through a pretty rough patch recently, and I found myself playing the guitar a lot more. It’s like the more I struggled, the more I wanted to express what I was feeling through music. My question is, has anyone else experienced this? Do you think personal hardships can enhance our creativity, especially when it comes to writing songs or even just jamming? I’m curious if it’s just me or if there’s something to it. What’s your experience been like?
